Board Members Rave About
The Echo Forum Approach
"The Echo Forum Approach helped to quicken the interchange of ideas. Built trust using a neutral outside person." -J.B.
"Thank you for all your help to the [board]! For me-our conversations allowed me to stay connected to the issues during my 'haitus.'"-O.R.
"John's involvement was invaluable. He cut through the insubstantial and phony and focused us in on what was important." -S.A.
"I found it very helpful to read the comment of board members who were quiet or absent." -B.C.
"[The Echo Forum Approach] provided a non-threatening, non-confrontational way to air differences and reveal current or potential disagreements. An excellent concept to "instutitionalize" into the functioning of a group. Expanded the limited communication (due to time, attendance issues) that we've struggled with." -T.J.

A community-based board chartered by the legislature to reduce child abuse and neglect suddenly had it's budget cut in half. At the same time, it wanted to shift its focus towards reforming the systems which worked with families. With the help of the Echo Forum Approach this board needed just three meetings to redraft its purpose statement and redesign its internal procedures to successfully address systems reform with fewer dollars.
