Be moved by your

MUSE to WRITE

a movement and writing circle that blends breath,
sound and movement drawn from Continuum
to evoke body-centered writing

seed the circle with words
delve into the sensations within
create new neural passageways

put pen to paper
feel into the edge of your nervous system as
awareness sweeps, crawls, glides across the page

find surprises - as curled memories unravel from your cells
into imagery, story, song

share and witness

This is an experiential process

to slow down, bring hand to page without expectation,

to move beyond writer's block

COME, BE MOVED BY YOUR

MUSE TO WRITE —IN A
SUPPORTIVE AND NURTURING ENVIRONMENT

Julene Tripp Weaver, MA/ABS, has studied Continuum with Emilie Conrad, the founder of Continuum, and Susan Harper since 1988. She completed the Continuum Beginning Teacher Training and Em'oceans and Sensation Training in 1998. Emilie Conrad and Rebecca Mark's Poetry In Motion Intensives are the inspiration for Muse To Write. Julene has degrees in creative writing and counseling. She has studied writing with Audre Lorde, Joan Larkin, Louise DeSalvo, and Tom Spanbauer's Dangerous Writing. She has been running Muse To Write circles since 1997.

I ran my Muse To Write circles at Cancer Life Line (CLL) for two years for people living with and affected by cancer… patients, survivors, family, friends, caregivers and co-workers.

I am available to travel to facilitate weekend writing retreats.

Some quotes from participants:
I enjoyed the process of using my breath and body as entry into my interior world, bypassing familiar thoughts for sounds and images that were so much more intriguing.   --Sharon Kaylen

As a person who is not a writer this work has encouraged me to write from an intuitive inner space. In Julene's workshop I found myself transported into memories that came vividly alive in my images and words. I believe writers and non-writers alike will benefit from the wisdom of this work.    --Linda M. Conroy

Julene's teaching is clear, easy to follow, and supportative, as is the environment or field she creates within which the exploration takes place. She makes sharing within the group easy and rewarding. I found the process fascinating, and her guidance inspired. What a wise, feminine approach, to the mysteries of the word reverberating through us.   --Lynn Pruzan
